Head Instructor in a federally funded refugee assistance program. Taught English to a variety of ethnic groups at community locations throughout Metro Atlanta. Developed an Intensive ESL Teacher Training Course for mentoring similar programs. Presented and represented the organization at a number of conferences. Performed all the technical computer work for the organization. Trained coworkers in computer use. Promoted twice in the first 12 month period.

Taught seven semesters as a faculty member of the Department of English Education. In addition to teaching and counseling, responsibilities included editing, guest lecturing , judging and involvement in numerous special projects: Organized departmental painting and cleaning days. Proposed and organized a department library and language laboratory. Visited and spoke at several local middle and high schools. Served as president and vice- president of Korea TESOL - Cholla Chapter. Published articles and lectured at seminars. Attended several national and international conferences. Created an educational tour program.

Website Design & Grant Proposal Writing. 2000-2001. Crossroads Life Center - Ithaca, New York. Created/maintained a website: www.crossroadslifecenter.org/whatis.htm and wrote grant proposals as a volunteer for a non-profit organization helping international students.

Intensive ESL Teacher Training. 1998-1999. Proposed, developed, and conducted several 6-week courses for volunteers and untrained ESL teachers in Metro Atlanta. Personally trained over 60 teachers.

Educational Tours for Korean Students. Summers 1996, 1997, 2000 & 2006. Proposed, Organized and Led groups of Korean University students on 6-week language and culture tours of the Eastern United States. Was accepted and run as an official program of Chonbuk National University & Hannam University.

Vice President & President of KOTESOL - Jeolla Chapter 1994-1996
During this period, chapter membership increased by 250%, an annual chapter mini-conference was initiated, and the chapter led the National organization in the adoption of Special Interest Groups (SIG's). Personally proposed, organized, and conducted 4 annual English Drama Festivals for students from around the country. Presented special lectures and workshops in a variety of venues.
